Tools for the Tough Stuff
In addition to training in suicide prevention, clients have asked me to create and facilitate these sessions - so I now have ready to go, if any feel right for you.
Let's have a chat if you feel any of these would be beneficial for your organisation, or if you have an idea for another session that you would like me to create for (and with) you.

Listening – without judgement, internal distractions or seeking solutions – is powerful. It can fundamentally change a workplace by building trust, nurturing relationships and allowing for growth. It can even save a life.
It’s also easier said than done. This empowering, interactive session builds on basic theoretical learning (e.g. from Mental Health First Aid) and dives deep into the skills needed to be a truly great listener – to colleagues and friends alike.

More young people are self-harming than ever before, and although self-harm is not a suicide attempt (more often, it is a way to stay alive) still, it is high risk behaviour.
We owe it to young people we work with to educate ourselves about self-harm, so we can speak with them both candidly and caringly, build deep trust, and when they are ready, support them to find healthier long-lasting strategies to help them cope with the stresses of life.

We don't want to imagine it ever happening, so when a colleague dies, managers often don't know how best to respond and support their team - especially as they are often grieving themselves too.
In this session I bring your team together, and offer you a safe space in which to begin to process your shared and individual grief.
